As a natural continuation of our cooperation the Williamsburg, and Elk Rapids United Methodist Churches are drafting a proposal for merger. The proposal will provide for continuing cooperation with the Kewadin UMC and the new merged church. As of 14 May 2007 we are in the process of authoring a proposal for merger under the advisement of our District Superintendent. A final draft of this proposal will be available for congregational review on 1 August 2007. Our combined Ad Councils will approve the proposal for submitting to the bishop on 13 August 2007.
